An Australian billing line is usually “street, suburb STATE postcode”, for example 88 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. States use NSW, VIC, or QLD. Postcodes are four digits, not a US ZIP.

Many forms label the locality City when they actually want a suburb. A spelled-out New South Wales or a padded 02000 will fail those fields.

How an Australian address is written

The usual line is “number street, suburb STATE postcode”, for example 88 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

Field order
Line 1 is number and street. Line 2 is suburb, the state/territory abbreviation, and the 4-digit postcode. Country is Australia.
Postcode
Always four digits. 2000 is typical for Sydney CBD, 3000 Melbourne, 4000 Brisbane. Do not pad to five digits or put the state in the postcode box.
States and territories
NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, NT. When the form wants an abbreviation, do not type New South Wales. ACT suburbs still need a 4-digit postcode.
Common address mistakes
Suburb is not the state. Units are written Unit 5/88 George Street or 5/88 George Street. Do not paste “NSW 2000” into the city box.

FAQ

Where do the generated addresses come from?

Generation draws records from the address dataset for the selected region. The page also includes fixed format examples. A generated result does not establish a link between an address and your name or account.

How do I use a Australian billing address for a payment?

Check the street, suburb, state or territory abbreviation, and 4-digit postcode against the address registered with the merchant or card issuer. Correct formatting alone does not establish a billing match; this generator does not access your account records.

Do suburb and postcode stay paired?

Draws follow the pool’s suburb, state, and postcode links. Locking a state keeps results there.

The form says City, not Suburb.

Put the suburb in City/Suburb. Keep the state abbreviation and 4-digit postcode in their own fields.

Is there a ZIP+4 in Australia?

No. Use a 4-digit postcode only. Do not apply US ZIP rules.
