Japan billing address generator
Generate Japanese billing address details with postal code, prefecture, municipality, and chome/banchi.

Address information
Domestic Japanese forms run the opposite way from US billing: postal code first, then prefecture, city or ward, then town, chome, and banchi. A “city, ST ZIP” line will not map onto those fields.
This pool is local Japanese text. The English UI still shows Japanese street and ward names — that is the stored form, not a missing translation. Names stay family-name first.
How a Japanese address is written
A domestic one-liner looks like “〒postal prefecture city town-chome-banchi”, for example 〒160-0023 東京都新宿区西新宿二丁目8-1.
- Field order
- The postal code is seven digits as 123-4567. Then come the prefecture, the city/ward/town/village, then the town name and chome/banchi. Building and room number sit on a later line.
- Postal code
- Use 3 digits, a hyphen, then 4 digits. Do not enter a US ZIP. Some forms want seven digits with no hyphen; follow the field hint.
- Local script
- Generated rows are Japanese. Romanized lines such as Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo are a different convention and most domestic billing pages want Japanese. Do not mix both on one line.
- Common address mistakes
- 2-8-1 and 二丁目8番1号 are both used. If the form splits banchi and building name, do not dump the whole string into the prefecture box.

FAQ
Why is the English page still in Japanese?
The Japan pool is stored in local script. The UI language changes labels, not the street text.
How do I use a Japanese billing address for a payment?
Check the postal code, prefecture, municipality, and chome/banchi against the address registered with the merchant or card issuer. Correct formatting alone does not establish a billing match; this generator does not access your account records.
Do postal code and ward match?
Rows were matched to public postal rules before import. Choosing a prefecture keeps draws there.
The form wants romaji.
This page does not guarantee Hepburn romanization. Use Japanese for domestic sites; do not assume the two writings are interchangeable.
What is the name order?
Japanese names stay family name first, for example 佐藤 美咲. Do not flip them when pasting.
Billing address details
- A Japanese address should include postal code, prefecture, municipality, and chome/banchi.
- Check the billing address registered on your account before paying. A shipping address may be different.
