- A slash in 10/42 can be part of the house number, not floor 10 and apartment 42. Soi denotes a lane and moo a village group; neither replaces the postcode.
- Postal-code format
- Use five digits, such as 12130. Provinces contain multiple postal areas; 10110 is not a general code for every Bangkok address. Check the actual subdistrict and delivery area.
- Region fields
- Bangkok uses khet for district and khwaeng for subdistrict. Other provinces usually use amphoe and tambon. These administrative names are not interchangeable with a city field.

Use the recipient's Latin-script spelling when an international form requires it. Keep the road and administrative levels together instead of dropping the tambon or khwaeng. The five-digit postcode remains the same.
