- The complete code has six digits: three for the delivery area and three for finer routing. The public institutional example uses 106409. Do not append 000 to a three-digit code and treat it as verified.
- Region fields
- City/county and township/district are distinct levels, such as Taipei City and Da'an District. A village name does not replace a district; check legacy administrative names against the current postal address.

What if the form only accepts three or five digits?
It may use a legacy address format. Confirm the provider's requirements and the address on the account rather than arbitrarily truncating or extending the code. Chunghwa Post's lookup is postal-format guidance, not billing-account verification.
