- Street and premises
- R. abbreviates Rua and Av. Avenida. RC means ground floor, ESQ left, and DTO/DIR right. Retain these floor and door details with the actual premises.
- Postal-code format
- The full code has seven digits in 1234-567 form, such as 2725-079. The final three digits are required parts of the code, including their leading zeroes; four digits alone are incomplete.
- Region fields
- Distrito is district, concelho is municipality, and freguesia is parish. The postal designation need not equal the municipality; an Algueirao address can use MEM MARTINS on the postcode line.

Is it wrong when the smaller locality differs from the postal town?
Not necessarily. A smaller locality can be served under a different postal designation. Keep both lines and check them through CTT rather than deleting a name merely to make the lines match.
How should I enter a Portugal postal code?

Can I use a generated address as my billing address?
For an actual payment, use the billing address registered with the merchant or card issuer. Generated records and fixed examples do not establish that an address belongs to you or matches your account. This tool does not access account records or guarantee payment acceptance.
